Songs repeat instead of moving to the next

When I play an album on my iPhone, the first song repeats instead of going onto the next song. It did that on my 1st Gen and now my brand new 3g as well. How do I stop the repeating?

This may be a dumb question, but within the playlist do you have the repeat icon highlighted? This happens to me sometimes when I press it accidentally. It's the icon in the top left hand side of the "now playing" window. It looks like 2 arrows forming a circle.
