Songs showing up under different artist on iPhone and iTunes

Not positive this is the right place to post this but I figure it's close enough. The problem I'm having is that when I go to search for certain artists on my phone it won't show me all the songs that I have on there by them. On iTunes when I look up the song the artist name is the same one I'm in on my phone yet it's not showing up on the phone. Where it does show up is under whatever artist name iTunes has for the album that it's in. For example I went to search for songs by the artist "Flux Pavilion" on my phone and there is only a couple of songs that show up under that name. But on my iTunes there's an album with multiple artists including Flux Pavilion and the songs on that album that have on iTunes the artist name Flux Pavilion don't show up. Where those songs do show up is under the artist name "DR P & FLUX PAVILION/VARIOUS" which seems to be the artist name that my iPhone associates them with even though they're listed under Flux Pavilion on iTunes. This is true of a few more artist just that I've noticed so I'm sure there are more occurrences of it. Thanks in advance for any help you guys can give me.
