Songs skip at exactly 1:01

I recently downloaded this beautiful album from an artist who made it available on his site.
Calidostópia by Oval.
When I imported it to itunes the first track played fine, but each subsequent track skipped forward to almost the end of the track at exactly 1:01.
I deleted the album and reimported it. Same thing.
I downloaded it again, same thing.
I played each track with quicktime and they played ok.
I made new versions in itunes and they all made new versions which were 1:01 in length.
Has anyone else experienced this?
I'm running OS 10.9

Sounds like a problem with the source material -- defective files.

I doubt there's anything on "your end" that will fix this.

Best solution -- notify the artist...
