Do you ever get a song stuck in your head all day?

For about 3 days it was "Stay" by Belly, now it is "Flagpole Sitta" by Harvey Danger

totally

some alot worse than others

the last one that would always pop into my head while trying to read req stuff was Total Eclipse of the Heart by Bonnie Tyler

Could not gett hat out for the life of me lol

Right now, it's Knights of Cydonia by Muse, mainly because I've been playing too much Guitar Hero III lately. Plus, it's an awesome song.

The most infuriating song is some supermarket or elevator tune with a poppy chorus that sticks in your head on the 1st repeat but you don't even know who is the artist and what is the name of the song. All you remember is the chorus, and you think GOD IF I COULD JUST FIND OUT WHAT THE NAME OF IT IS THEN MAYBE I COULD FORGET IT!!!!!

"let's talk about good-good love, so hard to find" is the latest riff to torment me like that.

I finally phoned up a friend and sang it. Turns out it's from the song "Good Love" by The Last Goodnight in "Poison Kiss".

Yeah. POISON!! God! It probably got into my head while I was shopping for groceries before the nor'easter blew in here over the weekend.

So now maybe I can forget it!

Heh if I added up the total amount of time Flagpole Sitta has been stuck in my head over the years it probably comes out to well over a month...

Recently I had "Relax, Take it Easy" by Mika stuck in my head. During crew practice. NOT a good combination...

My parents picked up Exile on Mainstream (off the cheap rack at Kmart because the case was broken) and now I can't get Matchbox Twenty out of my head.

It's really scary actually. Some of these songs I've never known the names and yet I mostly know them because I heard some of them at that time when songs get drilled in.

Most of the time I have some song stuck in my head. If I'm not playing music, I'm "listening" to it by brainwaves.

Example: I'll have some iTunes playlist going on shuffle while I'm working, but not paying direct attention to the music. Then I'll get in the elevator and discover I'm humming "Rosalia de Souza" by Maria Moita. How did THAT song get in my head? I'm never sure, but it was probably the last one playing when I hit that sleep button.

There are two good ways to get rid of a song stuck in your head: listen to another song and hum along (refreshes the cache) or sing a few notes of the stuck song to someone else, say "Tag, you're it!" (mental transfer of a stuck song).

If i ever get a bad song stuck in my head I purge it with the Big Break theme tune. Works everytime.

It's only a game so
put up a really good fight
i'm going to be snookering you tonight

After watching A Hard Day's Night a few days ago, I've had the title track stuck in my head. The boyfriend remarked that he too had been singing it since we watched it - HA, excellent.

It's been a hard day's night, and I've been working like a dog
It's been a hard day's night, I should be sleeping like a log
But when I get home to you I find the things that you do
Will make me feel alright

Last Christmas, I gave you my heart
But the very next day, You gave it away
This year, to save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special...

Completely and utterly stuck in my head. :D

Long Shot Party - Distance
aka. the opening to the second series of Naruto: Shippuuden. It's been going around my head for a WEEK and it's driving me NUTS
