Sonoma clean install SSD space availability

I noticed I only have about 470 GB available on a fresh install, note sure where all the storage is going. 512 less 23.25 below should be around 488 GB. I don't have any apps installed at the moment.

Does this seem ok on a clean Sonoma install (M2 MBA 512GB):

MacOS is a little inconsistent with how it reports free space. If you grab a copy of DaisyDisk it'll show you the hidden stuff.
