I'm thinking about selling my Sony DSLR A700 for either the A33 or A55... Does anyone have any opinions on either cameras?

I'm leaning towards the A33 cause I don't need 16mp or geotagging (I haven't traveled much in the last 4 years... all my pics will just come from different streets in LA.. :p) and it is more budget friendly.

Any recommendations, suggestions, comments?

Thanks

Always go for higher spec camera

I'm no expert, but is seems like you will actually downgrade by choosing A33.
Although distinction is highly subjective the A55 is considered 'Advanced'
while A33 is more in 'Intermediate/Beginner' category...

Apart from the resolution the main difference to A700 will be speed and
physical size/weight. See side by side comparison of A33/A55/A700:

Tough... I also kind of fell in love with A55 and I am toying with the thought
of actually buying the camera. For me it's the size and feature set.

These days they go out of fashion in no time, so if you decide to switch,
go for the higher spec model, you will enjoy it a little bit longer...

As always the choice is ultimately yours...

Well for I am a half assed photographer at best... I love the feature set on the SLT cameras... the only feature I want most is 24p video which neither have but having video alone is a great + over the a700. Also I am the type of lazy Ass that prefers auto mode 95% of the time when taking photos.
