Hi, I just joined and would love to find out how this review;(http://www.it-enquirer.com/main/ite/more/sony_dvd_rw_dru_810a_review/), of the Sony DRU810A burner by a seemingly reputable site, states from their LAST paragraph of the review that; "The Sony DRU-810A is a beautifully designed external DVD-burner with full Mac OS X support. Its a fast burner with high-quality media, and burning results are of high quality, resulting in no coasters and relatively fast mounts --all assuming you use Verbatim or Apple media for DVD, and Verbatim, or LaCie media for CD-R.
For the technically interested, here are the test data:
Operating system: Mac OS X 10.4.3 "
Doe ANYONE know how to get around the Sony software disc? How else could this have "full Mac Os X support"? Granted I am new at this, but I would appreciate your thoughts as to how this could be. By the way it looks very internal, not external. We have a G4, does anyone know if it would work with that? Thank you very much for your input.
