SONY E-Reader: How to wipe the data?

hey guys, i've got a Sony E-Reader, a PRS-T1, that i'll be giving to a friend. i've got some personal and private information on it and was wondering how i can 'return it to factory settings'. is this possible from within the device? if i connect it to my mac, how can i wipe it?

i just want to make it so that the data can't be easily accessed.
