Sony has made a nice new thin keyboard to sell with their all-in-one <awful>PC</awful>, sound familiar?

It is big I know, sorry guys.

Is this sarcasm? Because if it is, I don't really understand. I might be mistaken, but chicklet keys seem to have existed for a long time.

Edit: Also, use the proper codes for giant images please.

This is news? Has everyone forgotten this Macbook Vaio?

:D

I don't see a big deal. Yeah, it seems like a bit of a rip off, but OTOH, the aluminum Apple keyboard is the best keyboard I've ever used, so I'm happy to see other manufacturers adopt the form...

That's what the Japanese companies do, steal ideas from other companies and get rave reviews.

Off topic but I hate when keyboards have the unusually shaped Enter button. The computer I was using at work today had one like that and I was continuously missing it.

Apparently no one remembers that Apple employed some Sony engineers to help design the original MacBook (first Mac to use the awful chicklet keys). I'm thinking that's where the keys came from.

How did they in any way steal ideas from Apple for this keyboard?

If only the keys on the new MacBook were grey or silver like this. Then it wouldn't stink so much of pure ugliness.

Somewhat related, I briefly used that computer at Best Buy and it was pretty awful. It screamed cheap and the design doesn't even look that great. It was very plasticky and ugh... it was just bad.

Please read below. I was going to comment on it but some one beat me to it...

Sony have been using chicklet keyboards since 2003 and Apple since 2006.

So are Sony copying an Apple copy of a Sony keyboard?

;)

Really a lot of your need to stop thinking everyone stealing. if that is your opinion then base apple for it clearly being the thief here.

Hell when sony was not the first. I remember seeing keyboard designs like that back before 2003....

I seriously like it a lot. Wouldn't mind having it if it were wireless. I miss me my number pad. :D

This was my first thought as well- I'd love it if it were wireless. I have an older Apple bluetooth keyboard at work that I keep thinking I'd like to replace with a newer one...until I remember the lack of the 10-key.
