Sony HC5 and Apple iMovie HD question

Hi,

I am trying to convert HDV footage from a a Sony HC5 into iMovie HD as digital video (DV). I set up the HC5 to download the HDV as DV (i.LINK CONV HDV->DV). I then opened up a new project in iMovie and chose DV from the pulldown menu. Unfortunately, when I tried to import the footage, nothing happened. The camcorder ran, but no clips were imported by iMovie HD? Can anyone help me with this?
