Hello, I'm looking for some advice.

I have recently bought a Sony HDR-FX1E pro cam and I need to buy the correct firewire cable to hook it up to my mac for FC. Can anyone point me in the direction of the right lead?

I bought a Fire Wire cable with what I believed to be the right pin connection but it was too small. Any pointers will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If you have the any current Mac (you haven't specified what exact Mac), a Firewire 4-pin to 9-pin cable will do. The 4-pin end goes into the camera, the 9-pin end into the Mac, if your Mac only has FW800 (which it seems to be).

Oh yeah, sorry. I have a Macbook Pro (the newest versions). That definitely sounds like the right adaptor. Do you know where I can get one cheap? I don't want to make the same mistake again.
