Sony HDR-HC7 Audio Problem

I just got my HDR-HC& on Saturday night and I started using it on Sunday.

I have set the volume setting to the loudest. I have found a audio problem with it. Whenver I record something and then play it back... the voice on it is very low. Is there any way to jack up the audio of it while recording so that when I play it back... the volume is loud?

Also... one more thing... How do you delete something that you recorded? Or how do you record over it?
