Sony Service plan

Hello! I was checking out the new Sony laptops (especially the 13.3inch one). The service plans for that laptop, lets say for 3 years, costs a whopping $349. If you compare this to the APP for the mb, it is $166 less than the sony service plan.
Could you please comment on this!

Maybe Sony expect it to break down more, hence the more expensive plan.

Either that or they are just taking the p*ss

Its hard to take apart a laptop remember...very hard!

Costs: Shipping, usually Next Day costs over $70 for a 10lb. box.
Parts can be a lot
Labor, you gotta pay the guys!

It adds up.
