Sony V1U and FCP 6.0

Just throwing this out there since FCS 2 is now shipping. If anyone has this combo, can they try to capture 24A mode footage from a Sony V1U into FCP 6.0 and see if it works? We're shooting a feature in a few weeks with the V1U and I'd rather shoot in the 24A mode which is closer to true 24P versus the "fake" 24 mode.

I'm installing fcp 6 now. I have a v1u, and figuring out a better workflow with 24a will be my first priority. So I'll let you know what I find out.

Didn't have a deck or the cam, so I couldn't test a capture.

But I had some V1U footage on an external drive which I believe was 24 Advance, so I dropped it on a timeline for ya…

FC 6 is a little different… but you can set the settings of your sequence to 1080/ 24p and all that, so I would assume you could capture it.
