Sony Vaio FW or Macbook?

Ok I know i posted this before but i bought the Hp and its terrible returning it to best buy tonight. The i was going to get is also terrible, a friend had it, so should i get the fw or mac. Also is it true that Sony is the Mac of the pc world? And to anyone asking why i am posting this here if i use a pc i am getting a iMac for Christmas. And the only reason i am skeptical of the mac is i dont think you get much value for your money but the iMac you do.

I wish I'd found your previous thread and warned you off HP laptops ... they're awful. They used to be great machines, but something went wrong in recent years. :eek:

EDIT: I don't see how Sony machines'd be the 'mac of the PC world'. In what terms? 'Hipness'? Components?

thanks i bought 2 in the past 3 weeks and neither one is good they both were released maybe a month ago and now there both outlets items. I thought Dell was good but i read reviews and saw a friends and its terrible to. thats why i have decided between apple and sony

Have you by any chance had the HP Pavilion tx1000 tablet? God just thinking back at that god-awful thing xD The last good laptop in the Pavilion series is 3 years old. :eek:

It depends by what reviews / advice you go by. I've heard everything from 'stay away from Vaio's' to 'best laptops ever'. I really don't know. But I'm buying a Vaio AR in a couple of weeks, so if you get a sony, we're in the same boat :rolleyes: :)

Our signatures are technically 'underneath' our posts. Click on User CP (upper left) to fix a signature underneath every post you make.

And if you get around to it, let us know what machine you ended up getting.

Thanks for the info and yes i will tell you which i get. It will probably be the Sony check back later tonight as I might get it when I take the hp back
 
Got the Sony

i got the sony fw in white i love it. the screen is great being extra wide and crystal clear. i got one with: blu ray burner, 64-bit vista, 4gb ram, 320gb hd, 2.26ghz core 2 duo. i get one to if you dont want a macbook that is. even if you do want a mac get this as your entertainment notebook and your mac as your portable!
 
some nice specs, feels like reading stuff from the apple store in a month,hopefully..
where are the firewire ports? couldn't find it and still, it's name made me think about it, is it ironically called FW cause it doesn't have any ports?

They're nice looking machines, and they're pricy. Just like Macs.

That's awesome. I was looking at them just the other day when I got the AR. Enjoy! Question... how much did you pay for yours? I paid 1300 euros for mine.
 
The sony fw is way better. I have a vaio fw 2.8ghz 4gig ram and i got it for 1900. the macbook pro cat match those specs at that price ever!!
