alright so this is my first post and this isnt the best place to post this question but does anybody know if it is possible to put Mac OS X on a Sony Vaio VGN-NR430E laptop... i also know that this is frowned upon by some mac users when people do this but im bored with life right now so i want to try this. :D

that was the first thing i tried and nothing came back so i figured that i would ask people who are smarter then most

My link should guide you pretty closely. The only problem is the drivers. I doubt many people on the forums here will know a lot abut your vaio in question. Try the vaio forums.

type in osx86 and take the blue pill

What does taking viagra have to do with his question about hackintoshing?

If you've tried insanely mac, osx486, and fan pages for your machine and can't find instructions for hackintosh, that either means that no one's done it yet (and posted it on the internet) or it can't be done due to driver incompatibility, etc.

I've done osx486 on a couple of netbooks. It was fun, and educational, and most importantly, there are forums for each of the netties to back you up and answer questions if you run into problems. If no such forum for the machine you want exists, I'd stay the heck away from it.

I'm an Oklahoman, and my great grandparents were pioneers who came here in covered wagons. We respect the pioneers because it was tough, demanding and at times dangerous. I grew up in a small town and live in OKC. I respect my great grandparents and the rest of the pioneers, mostly because I couldn't do what they did.

The viao is not a cheap machine. I personally would not risk having the conversion not work or possibly screw it up in the process.

Ok i tried to just load OS X on it and it will load but when i boot it it just fails everytime... so back to vista i go :( but thank you all for all your help on this
