Sony Vaio or imac 21.5

besides portability, which would be a better buy?
I need windows to run some stuff not available for mac.

Sony: 1350.00
Imac 1499.00

Is it worth the extra 150.00?

Pros/Cons of each?

Well if portability is not an issue, get the iMac. It'll be faster and have a bigger screen.

your comparison is completely out if you want i7 sony then compare it with i7 imac at the end of the day its all about needs? what do you need it for ?

Some gaming, finance, netflix.

1500.00 is my cap, so imac 27" is out.

Do you have a copy of Windows already? If not, that would increase your costs when buying the iMac, putting it over $1500 (if you're set on that model).

The only reason I would consider a Sony Vaio would be blu-ray and for Windows. Otherwise, I can't recommend buying a PC to anyone nowadays. Once you own a quality Apple product, it's hard to ever go back to a Sony/Dell/HP. You can save some cash if you with a refurb:
