Hi All,

I was crossing my fingers that Sony would announce the WH-1000XM4 headphones at CES, which didn't come to pass. I'd buy now if the call quality on the current XM3s wasn't garbage. They sound amazing and I "need" some ANC headphones for a noisy work environment so that's the only thing holding me back.

I see Best Buy has the Beats Solo Pro 3s on sale from $350 to $200 right now, but a microUSB seems like a step backwards and the ANC "hiss" sucks when I try them next to the XM3s. It may be an option if I could sell them later for a decent amount, but I'm imagining I'd be lucky to recoup even $100 on them in 6-12 months.

I have also considered the AirPods Pro, but really want over the ears, and if I dropped $250 for those I'd have a hard time justifying the XM4s at $350+ when they debut.

Does anyone know of a good pair of inexpensive 'stopgap' headphones, even if wired, that have decent sound that I could sell when the XM4s debut? I feel this would be my best option. I welcome ideas from any headphone enthusiasts. If there aren't any I'll just keep pumping the Ambient on my original AirPods until Sony refreshes.

Thanks,

ZLM
