Not following the goings on regularly, but just wondered if apple haven't actually announced, denied, or confirmed an event in this date, why is the rumour everywhere??

iMore first posted about it, followed by The WSJ, AllThingsD, Reuters, etc. It was most likely an Apple PR controlled leak, so it's definitely happening. Apple PR does these kind of leaks every time an iDevice event is happening soon.

So yes, it's pretty much confirmed.
