I bought “USB-C earpods” today. I thought they would look good next to the white 16e and the white silicone case and that wired earbuds sound better. But I was disappointed and I would like you to tell me if my experience is normal or not. It was my first time with earpods and I haven't used earbuds for a long.

- First of all, the bass was louder than I'm used to. Where can I adjust this on the iPhone? The sound is good quality, yes, but for some reason I'm hesitant.
- It doesn't seem to drown out external sounds at all. That's nice on the one hand, but it felt weird.
- It doesn't seem to fit properly in my ear, or my right ear may be damaged. I don't like the silicone ones.

Anyway, it's hard to take my over-ear headphones with me, I can put earpods in my pocket when I go out.

1. There is an equalizer in Settings > Apps > Music > EQ.
2. Of course they don't drown out external sounds. These are not noise reducing. It's AirPods Pro that do that.
3. Fit is very dependent on the individual. The shape might not be for you.

It’s been a while since I’ve used the corded EarPods. They either fit or they don’t. That’s the downside to that design. Do they fall out or just feel uncomfortable? They take getting used to. No they don’t block out any outside noise. That’s one reason I like the original AirPods. They have a similar design without the wire. If you don’t like the sealed off feeling of most earbuds, they are good

My right ear may have been a little damaged in the past, so it's not as good as my left. However, it doesn't fall out, there's just a slight discomfort and a feeling that it doesn't fit properly, compared to my left.

I don't normally use headphones at home, and if I do, I use my over-the-ear headphones. I wanted a pair of headphones that I could keep in my pocket when I went out. I'll admit, they're not that bad, but they're not as good as I expected either. I understand that it doesn't block sounds at all, which is good sometimes.

I’ve had the OGs, 2, 3 and Pro 1st and 2nd gen. The only ones I can use for anything other than sitting still are the original long stem variants.

Chew, talk, bend over a water fountain, tilt head or pretty much any other movement and the rest just drop out. Super frustrating because they work so well with all of my tech. So now I have two sets of the 2nd generation for home and work and the 3s for backup.

This topic is about EarPods, not AirPods. Granted, most of the conclusions are the same. If they dont fit, its going to be frustrating.

OP, maybe consider custom fit IEMs, or even just a set of wired headphones that support third party tips, like Comply.

I normally use headphones. The sound is better. I have a pair of inexpensive Anker headphones. I haven't used them in a while, but they're sitting on my desk.

In the AirPods forum? Okay.

Yes, but I didnt see EardPods forum. :)

Thanks for reminding me that I had decided to get a pair of these for phone calls, but forgot.

As some others can probably relate, I rarely use my iPhone as a phone, so I'm often tripped up by unpredictable BT headphone behavior. I'll tell the phone to automatically connect to AirPods or Beats Fit Pro, but inevitably they will connect to my iPad (because never connect is not an option) because I will have forgotten about having listened to a podcast on the iPad with them.

At least the EarPods will connect and I can avoid that stress inducing fumbling when I'm expecting/making an important call.

And the most important feature, there is no battery involved!

They aren’t really that comfortable for me anymore. The last ones I had were for my 13 pro max. Now I need to get the USB C version but I don’t find them very comfortable anymore. I have my AirPods Pro 2 and AirPods Max for day time use. I use a pair of Beats Flex during the night in bed . The only issue with the Beats Flex is that I have to remember to charge them.
