I currently have the ipod touch 3rd gen 64gb jailbroken with spirit on 3.1.3

Has there been a release that will allow me to upgrade to the latest 4.0/4.1 firmware, and then jailbreak it so I can use all my apps still? If so, could someone people help me with a guide to do this. Thank you.

There is a tethered jailbreak available for the iPod touch 3rd generation at this time.
