Sorry if this has been asked, but is iOS 5 released the same day as the iPhone 4S (for those who are staying iPhone 4, for example).

Yes, it has been discussed many times. Please try searching in the future.

It will be released on Oct 12th.

Geckoteck, thanks, should have searched. Is this the case in Canada too?

Peace, I'm staying with my iPhone 4, so no iPhone 4S for me!

It comes out on the 12th.

You can get it right now if you want though. Just google around for iOS 5 Golden master download links. It's pretty easy to do. I have it running on my phone as we speak.

Cosign. Wish I could migrate from my ME account over to iCloud now though. Guess that won't occur until next Wednesday.

Thank you all!! If you are able to provide a link, it would be much appreciated!

You might be able to do so now -- go to www.me.com/move and see if it will let you move.

However, until the Lion 10.7.2 update comes out you won't have support for iCloud sync on your Mac. Although the 10.7.2 GM is out, I've not tried it as I don't need it badly enough to not just wait for the public update.

yeah you won't. I downloaded iCloud beta 10 and it won't work on your hard drive unless you're a developer. So once apple puts out the 10.7.2 update then iCloud won't be able to be used on mac OSX. Pretty weird because I have already have photos streaming from my phone to my other devices.. but I guess its lost in a cloud somewhere LOL
