My buddy went to AT&T to get a new IPAD and when he unboxed it at home he realized that his silver IPAD PRO had the gold metal ring around the home button. He's unsure if he should hold on to it or sell it on ebay. Someone told him to throw it on there and start the bid at 15K because this is the only reported one so far that they can figure out. What do you guys and girls think he should do.

It's a tiny manufacturing error, with a slightly different coloured standardised part. It's not like it's a prototype iPad. Now those go for some money. "Start the bid at 15K" is a ridiculous idea.

Sorry to kill the buzz, but this is just a novelty fluke - nothing more.

I would try to return it and exchange it ASAP. All I can see is at some point in the future Apple will refuse to honor the AppleCare warranty on it because the mismatched ring color proves you tampered with it.
