I am very sorry to see that Apple have dropped the TouchBar from the new MacBook Pro. I appear to be in the minority but I found it very useful, especially with direct access to functionality within each particular programme. It made the MBP unique amongst laptops and I think returning to the F keys is a disappointing and retrograde step.

I would’ve like the option to choose touch bar or no TouchBar, I also found it very unique and useful. But chose to upgrade anyway bc of the screen.

I am also sorry to see it go. Apple is doing what tech journalists are telling them and I don't like that. Steve Jobs was different, but Apple now has no Steve Jobs. Tim Cook cannot even be compared to Steve, so there is no strong personality that can just ignore all of the press. The Touch Bar was a good idea that remained stale the last couple of years.

I liked it for extremely granular fine-tuning of the volume and brightness. Other than that, and the nice payment indication graphic it showed before TouchID purchases, I didn't use it to its full potential. I think at the end of the day it'll be nice to not have to divert my eyes from the primary screen and have tactile function keys for a variety of different tasks.

I tried to like it. I used it for 5 years but couldn’t get myself to like it. I even went all out with BetterTouchTool but I’m glad to see it go. There’s nothing more annoying than wanting to turn down the volume quickly and having to fight with a frozen Touch Bar.
