several os ago, I used to have a little prefs file that would change the "unreal" number order (1,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,2,20) into the "real" order (1,2,3,4,5 etc..).
Now that I'm ensconced comfortably into Leopard, I have this irritant "unreal" system back.
Any ideas how to fix it?

It should do this already. I haven't customized Finder at all, and as you can see the sorting is taking place correctly. Or did you mean in another application?

yea, that's right...now - suddenly - it works...
I must have noticed this behaviour in another application rather than the finder, but I don't remember which one. It was just one of those questions I had in the back of my mind to ask when I remembered to do so... which I did, and now feel foolish.
When I discover the application that causes the issue, i'll be back for more advice.
