Okay, I just updated to the new iTunes 7.1. One feature that really sticks out is the sorting features.
This helps a great deal with songs names, and song artist that start with 'The.' Though I was wondering about something else...
I have many artist that have guest artist perform a song with them. I'll use Fort Minor's "The Rising Tied" for an example.
I have 4 Fort Minor songs:
Petrified - Fort Minor
Remember The Name - Fort Minor featuring Styles of Beyond
Where'd You Go - Fort Minor featuring Holly Brook and Jonah Matranga
Believe Me - Fort Minor featuring Bobo and Styles of Beyond
As you can see, not a single song I have is the same artist. Therefore, on my iPod, they all show up as 4 different artist.
I did set the album artist as Fort Minor, and that didn't help the sorting issue on my iPod.
What I was hoping for in the new sorting feature, was to set them all as Fort Minor, and all for songs show up under Artist on my iPod. But when I set all the sorting artist to be Fort Minor, only "Petrified" shows up under Fort Minor, and the other artist don't show up at all.
Is there a way to set this up, or what am I doing wrong?
