All Devices Sort order reversed on iPhone & iPad when using iTunes match

I have 4 devices ( 2 X MAC's 1 X iPad and 1 X iPhone X) associated with my iTunes Match account, within iTunes on both Macs i have a number of Smart Playlists and the Rules are set up to list by Artist, within the main Menu i have then selected View as Playlist & Sort by Artist - Ascending, everything looks Ok on both Macs

However on both the iPad and the iPhone, the lists are displayed by Artist but in Descending order, if o go back to the Mac's and change to Sort by Artist i- Descending, then check the iPad and iPhone and the order has not changed.

How do you specify Ascending or Descending on iPad and iPhone.

1 Mac is at Catalina, the other on Mojave, both IOS devices are running the every latest IOS
