I'm cleaning up my MBP late 2011 with Sierra. I have lots of Word files, photos, videos and audio recordings from my phone. I also have a few external HDs going back a few years that I used when running OSX Mountain Lion - I want to clean up these as well. I want to get rid of all duplicate files first. Can anyone recommend a reliable way to do this?

Have you tried Gemini 2 http://apple.co/2oWZmXG. But it costs some bucks.

Good experiences with The Duplicate Finder and OmniDiskSweeper here.
