Anyone know a hidden way to sort these folders (i might be missing a built in option but cannot see it)

Application folders, this now starts at the bottom instead of the top, so have to scroll upwards to get to top, any way to get this to default at the top so it displays apps starting A first, then scroll down to folders (sorted by kind and in list view)

Downloads folder, I have this sorted by date added, in list view
new items get auto added to top of the list, so similar to above can this be changed somehow to display from the top instead of the bottom, i need to scroll to the top to see new items

Not a solution, but at least a shortcut:

When you click the folder in the dock and the list appears, and then press the right arrow, the list will scroll to the top. It will do this only the first time you press the key, after that the arrow keys function for navigation within the list. Perversely, the left arrow key does not scroll to the bottom.

Oh, okay. I see now what you meant. Weird that it starts at the bottom of the list.

it's all deliberate to force people to use launchpad

cant sort apps folder as you used to be able to in finder
apps folder in dock displays wrong way round

it's a conspiracy :D
