I've been trying to sort some photos in finder and it just doesn't seem to work...
My camera gave the photo's ascending names: DSC08252 -> DSC08253 etc.
Now I want to organize them a bit by putting newer photos before the older ones. So my plan is to rename something like: DSC08252 to DSC08253,1

So by logic and sorting by name, the older photo DSC08252 should be in front of DSC08253 because of the name.

But this doesn't work.

I even tried to simplify it: naming a photo ''1'' and the other ''2''

Getting ''1'' behind ''Photo 2" -> Renaming ''Photo 1'' to ''Photo 2,1''

It doesn't work... :( According to Finder 2,1 is smaller than 2

Renaming Photo 2 to Photo 2,0 seems to do the trick though.

One more question:

When I open the folder where all the photos are and press ''cmd A'' and click on the first photo to open them all in Preview. -> Why does Preview split the photos and opens two Preview windows??

When all the photos are open, you can switch them around with the bar on left, changing their order. But they still don't change they in the actual Finder folder when playing around with the ''arrange by'' options.

I've had my Mac for two years now and coming from Windows I can honestly say, Finder is so weird and cumbersome compared to Windows Explorer. It just doesn't work so fluid and easy with many the functions it has and it seems like Apple just wants to push you to use iPhoto.
