Hi folks,
I've spent a good part of the day trying to get windows 7 running via bootcamp and am running into the following problems that google searches have failed to deliver on:
- This is my first time installing a windows OS on my iMac
- I have the 64bit .iso file ready to go on a DVD
- You need Bootcamp 3.1 to install w7
- So far I've only found Bootcamp upgrade instructions for those already running windows via Bootcamp
Question is, how the heck am I supposed to install w7 on a mac with bootcamp 3.0?? I mean, it's a mac software suite that can only be upgraded via windows OS? Very frustrating as it seems I need to go back to an older version of windows, update Bootcamp, then update windows to 7.. this seems like a big inconvenience for those trying to run with w7 from the start.
Any help would be greatly appreciated (and hopefully relieve this headache
). Thanks in advance-
