Walked my first 5K the weekend before Christmas.
I'm a mile in.
I get a txt from my wife "r u ok?"
I'm thinking to myself; "yeah"
So I call her on my watch and she says she got a Emergency SOS from me.
So I say, well maybe my watch bumped up against my wrist and activated it or something.
At the end of the walk I look at her phone and see the SOS was sent a half hour before race start. So the only thing I can think is that when I "threw" my phone into the car door's side pocket thing it activated SOS ???
Anyway the funny thing is the timing.
8:30 am - SOS call rec'd from Andy
9:15 am - r u ok?
9:18 am - nope too late I'm dead.
Moral of the story, ensure your emergency contact is a little speedier when responding to SOS notifications
