i need 1 sound card 5.1 for my MACPRO 2008 . ( OSX + VISTA )

Any recomandation ??

THX .

OMG !!! i must cancel the order for 5.1 speakers :(

If you really need 5.1 sound from your Mac, then I'd suggest you invest in some speakers which has a input via TOSLINK, it's a optical input. Your mac can output surround sounds via the optical port. Some other users on the board have purchased wither the Perhaps the Logitech Z680 5.1 with THX certification or the Z5500....

Search the forums for information.

Buy a small A/V Receiver that has ss/pdif input. then buy a set of passive speakers. That's it. connect the Mac to the receiver with an optical cable.

Make sure it's the TOSLINK optical version of "s/pdif", as there's a coaxial digital version and our MacPro's don't support it.
