Hope this is not a dumb question. Back in July I purchased my first Mac, PowerMac G5 2.7 and installed a M-Audio 5.1 Revolution card.
Well back in October, my G5 died. So after having it at CompUSA for 3 weeks, an onsite tech that AppleCare sent and being at an Apple store, Apple finally decided to replace my G5 with a new G5 Quad 2.5
I know the M-Audio card will now not work with the Quad since the Quad has PCI Express now.
So what I am wondering, and so far I have not been able to locate anything on this, is there any PCI Express sound cards (Doubtful) and or any good External 5.1 USB cards that I can use? Have a Klipsch ProMedia Ultra 5.1 system that I would like to have hooked up to the Quad, if possible.
Thanks for any help.
BTW, still have not received the Quad yet, last time I talked to the AppleCare guy I have been dealing with, supposedly by early next week, I hope.
