Hey everyone,
I just received my M-Audio Studiophile AV-40 speakers. I was looking for a sound card for these nice speakers. Currently I am using a dell m1330, but i plan to update to a macbook pro in a year, so want something that is compatible with both. I was thinking of a creative express card sound card, but soon realized that they are not OSX compatible. Then i was looking at the M-Audio Transit but I noticed they drivers seem to be outdated. I am running windows xp x64 (primary OS) and windows 7 x64 so I would want something that works in xp x64. I then came across this and even though it has more features than I need (IE the inputs, I'm more focused about the output) the Edirol UA-1EX USB Audio Interface.

I would really appreciate any input about soundcards. Remember that I am currently using a SigmaTel integrated audio on a dell m1330 but am looking to upgrade to a MBP in about a year or so.

Thanks!
-Mike
