It has been a long running frustration for me that the Apple Music Sound Check playback volume equalisation feature has not worked when streaming Apple Lossless tracks to wireless speakers (in my case Naim Mu-Sos) using Airplay 2. I have however recently noticed anecdotally that this function may now in fact be working (switching Sound Check on and off seems to have an effect on certain tracks?). In the apparent absence of any official guidance from Apple on whether this is supposed to work or not, has anybody done a recent, more scientific investigation of Sound Check over Airplay 2? Apple used to state on its support website that Sound Check does not work over Airplay but I can no longer find this, which has prompted me to question whether this shortcoming has now been addressed? If anybody can shed any light it would be much appreciated...
