In Boot Camp when I play a game the music and action sounds come from the internal speaker as well as my surround sound system connected to the Optical Out port. This wouldn't be so bad but when I plug my earphones into my surround system (Logitech) so my wife doesn't have to listen to incoming mortar rounds or shotgun blasts , the internal speaker is still on.
Anyone got any idea on how to silence it?
Thanks
Alan

Turn off the volume in windows and select the realtek sound control panel and select audio out. Your optical should still have sound... I had same problem. I believe the volume setting only affects the internal speaker. If you use headphones I think the audio out works the same way but if you have logitech you should have a headphone jack on that, so I would use that in any case.
