Hi.

Background is a G4x1.25 dual with 2Gb RAM, 10.3.2 and all the latest updates. Using the DLINK DBT-120 (HW B3 per the back ticket) plus the latest Bluetooth firmware from Apple's site.

I have noticed a clear difference in audio quality when using two Bluetooth headsets (Plantronics M1000 and Jabbra Freespeak 250) as compared to a USB connected Plantronics DSP400 headset TO THE SAME ICHAT AV (audio only) party at the same time. Even when cranking up the input volume the distant party said I was very hard to hear, and as soon as I switched to the Plantronics I was "perfect". We did several tests. We were both on the end of a fast line with no bandwidth issues.

The BT receiver was moved from a USB hub BEHIND my Cinema Display and connected to the LH socket on my Apple Pro keyboard to no difference also.

I was running Ichat 2.0 and the other end was running the beta but I really cannot see how that would affect things!!

Anyone any clues ? The audio RECEPTION was fine on my end with all three headsets! I even tried RAISING MY VOICE to a level higher than I would normally converse and that made no discernable difference to the listener.

I appreciate the Bluetooth fidelity might not be as good but certainly the volume level was dire for the guy to make it effectively unusable in anything other than test. The headsets are fine on my cellphone (BT only of course!).

Anyone else had those experiences?

Cheers..
