sound missing in iTunes 7.0.1

Yesterday i upgraded iTunes to the recent 7.0.1 version, now the problems have been twice happened.

when listening to songs, about 1-2 hours later, the sound is missing, but the song keeps playing. in order to make the sound back, i have to reopen the iTunes.

does it ever happen to you guys?

im using macbook 1.8ghz model. with OSX 10.4.8 version.

It's happened to me (iMac G5) a couple of times too. FWIW, muting and unmuting the volume in OSX brings it back for me. I think it returns after you use a regular system sound.

is it a bug with iTunes? or the OSX is being bitchy? any idea? never happened before with previous iTunes versions.

I think it's just a bug in iTunes.

its better be, coz im afraid that my macbook's speaker is faulty.
