Sound out keyboard shortcut

Hello everyone,

I am currently using a MBP with my TV as an external display (mini dp to hdmi). I have been doing most of my TV watching from various internet streams and stuff like that.

My question is: How do I make a keyboard shortcut to switch my sound out instead of alt+click on my menu bar to switch the audio out? Do I need to write some sort of applescript for this?

Open System Preferences->Keyboard & Mouse pane then in that pane click on 'Keyboard Shortcuts'. The click on the + symbol and add your custom Keyboard shortcut.
