Sound out of sync over HDMI

Would anybody have an idea why a 13" late 2013 Macbook Pro retina running High Sierra 10.13.6 would have audio out of sync when playing movies in Quicktime over HDMI to a TV?

And, more importantly, why this behaviour disappears when the computer is rebooted?
