Hello all

I just got my hands on a new iPod touch, it's lovely. I've just noticed a strange problem.

When I play a game, the sound goes crackly. This goes both for the in-game sounds, but also any song I happen to be listening to whilst playing this game. It's not just one particular app either, it's ALL games I have.

– Texas Hold 'em (by Apple)
– PapiJump
– PapiRiver
– That cannon game

Here are some typical run throughs of this problem:

1. No music is playing, load PapiJump, press "game start". Every time he bounces you get the bounce noise quickly followed by some crackling noises.

2. Music playing, load PapiJump, in the in-game menu, the music appears to be fine with no crackling noises. Press "game start", music goes crackly. Exit game, sound returns to normal.

Now, this is both with my headphones or using the iPod touch speaker. I tried this particular game on my girlfriends 1st generation iPod without this problem.

This does not happen in any app that isn't a game.

Any ideas?
