Right so i got a VGA connector and i obviously need sound
what cable is the best/cheapest.
im in the UK and have a 2006 macbook

You can use a 3.5mm to 3.5mm audio jack lead. Attach one end to the headphone socket on your mac and the other end to the audio input or mic port on your second device. you can also use a 3.5mm to RCA lead, depending on your setup. Both cables are readily available at Maplins and only cost a few quid
