Alright.. so I have been having some VERY annoying issues with my sound since the "upgrade" to Yosemite.
1. My keyboard volume control works intermittently. Sometimes it works, other times it just gives me the little speaker with the X through it that you usually get when an interface doesn't have control options. When that happens I have to control the volume from the tool bar in the upper right corner. Even then it sometimes just returns to zero whenever it feels like it.
2. I am an audio engineer, and I switch quite often between built in output and my external audio interface (Focusrite Saffire Pro 40). Whenever I switch output devices I lose all sound for a couple of minutes. Its like my system needs a couple of minutes to realize that its there.
3. Anything sound related on the internet results in the the most annoying experience of my life. Whenever I play a video on youtube for example, I need to let the video play for like 30 seconds before the sound starts, and the process needs to be repeated every time I switch to a new video, or move to soundcloud, or any other audio source. When I have clients over, and they are trying to show me their music, or they are showing me reference music to give me an idea of what they want it becomes a really tedious and unprofessional looking situation.
Anybody have an idea what is going on? I never had issues even remotely similar to this on Mavericks.
