SOUND recording HELP!

Basically all i want to do is record sound off the internet,
Simple as it may sound, it seems not so. I've only just moved from Windows to OSX and there all it required was to click 'stereo mix' on your sound options menu. Mac does not seem to have this,??? I have Peak 4 with no options to do this either

I know its probably just a matter of downloading the correct programme but i don't want to spend money to do this. Surely theres a simple way??

You want to record audio from a internet audio stream or something like that right? One app I know of is Audio Hijack, there's a free version.

That, I really have no idea what you're talking about. Can Windows record audio like that right out of the box?

there is a much better program called WireTap Pro.
You can record what the speakers are playing...what the mic is getting....or you could record both at the same time.

Plus you can scedule when the computer starts the recording and when it ends it...good for TV and Radio.
