I'm running iOS 8.1 on an iPhone 6, and all of a sudden the sound starts coming from the top speaker (the one to which I place to my ear for phone calls) and not the bottom one where it's supposed to be coming from (the actual speaker).

Not sure why this is happening, but the only thing that fixes it is restarting the phone. Has anyone else had this issue?

There was another thread about this a couple of weeks ago. I've searched but can't locate that thread using MR Search options.

The general info was that the sound isn't actually coming out of the earpiece. It's a perception issue.

Have you tried plugging/unplugging (a few times) earbuds into the headphone jack? The theory was that the jack was either stuck or somehow malfunctioning otherwise. If you can't free it up, make a Genius appointment.

Sure do wish I could locate that thread...
