The addition of 24Hz (23.976Hz, to be exact) output to the Apple TV 4K is GREAT, and though I'm on a 1080p setup I bought one as soon as I heard of the feature.
Unfortunately, it's not all roses. While Netflix and Hulu work PERFECTLY, I'm experiencing sound synchronisation issues when playing iTunes content (TV shows like Supergirl, Flash, Arrow, etc.), Amazon Prime Video (yeah, just released) and Vudu.
The sound is slightly ahead of the video, and it's quite annoying. If I turn "match content" for framerate off and let it output regular, boring old 60Hz, everything's fine. I can see on my scaler that all the apps are outputting 23.976Hz, like they're supposed to.
I have never had any problems with 23.976 or 24.000Hz Blu-rays from either of my Oppos (currently a BDP-103). My scaler is a Lumagen RadianceXD and the projector is a JVC X30, but I don't think that's where we're supposed to be looking for a fix to this issue
