Ok, I am very obsessive compulsive when it comes to new electronics. I've just recently got an iPhone. I've noticed that when I have it on for more than five seconds or so and hit the lock button in the top right, the locking sound emitted by the iPhone is not totally in sync; when I click the button, the locking sound comes about 1- 2 seconds later. However, I've noticed when I quickly unlock the phone and re-lock it again the sound is simultanious to when I hit the button. Is this normal?

I'll be honest: I disabled the locking sound a while back on my 3Gs. It gets on my nerves for that reason. I had problems like that. I guess its just lag.

Mine is the same way, the speaker I can hear power quit going to it then its quiet and hear the power come back and the lock noise play after I hit the button. Doesnt realy bug me though.

Yes, this is normal and as my sister used to say, "WRATGAS".

Who Really And Truly Gives A S***

Isn't this the scenario?

You: <Press the button> Lock up please, iPhone...
iPhone: Locking... Okay, complete <click>

Might explain the delay.

You don't expect a door to make a slam noise as soon as you push it.
