OK, so this morning I noticed my mac was running slow, so I decided to delete a bunch of stuff. I know that this might be the problem. After I emptied the recycle bin, I said I couldn't delete the 'components' file (in library). MY mac was running faster until I noticed that my sound wasn't working. I saw in the components folder in the recycle bin that there were "AudioCodecs.component" and "CoreAudio.component"
I dropped them in the components folder in the library folder(which was blank) and I had to type the admin pass cause it said I couldn't change it.
It still won't work and I'm desperate! Please help
Thanks,
Jared

Oh and itunes had an error and I couldn't open it(-200)
and Garage band sound works

Do you have a backup?

People shouldn't really mess around with system files on there mac.
