Soundcheck in iTunes

I need help getting rid of soundcheck in Itunes. Every mp3 is soundchecked when added to iTunes and that messes up the automation that I run when I add my podcast. Does anybody has any idea how to stop the soundcheck. It is unchecked btw in the preferences and it really annoys me.

Unchecking should have stopped it.

It did in older versions anyway. Maybe newer versions simply soundcheck everything regardless if you use it or not?
